Recently we were approached by a long term Miss Teddy customer who has read about our Happy Tears product and wanted to know if it could help solve an unusual problem she had – the lipstick stains left on her Frenchie’s fur after she’d finished giving her lots of kisses!

We were happy to help – and as eager as she was to see if our unique and effectiveness formula would be as potent on the lipstick stains.

After two weeks of application we were both happy to see that it had, indeed, removed any trace of the lipstick left from loving kisses and it’s happily another string to the Happy Tears’ bow. That made us want to look at other stains that dogs can get on their fur and these are the top 4 that we found:

Tear Stains are, of course, up there at the top and that’s why we developed the Happy Tears kit -occurring mostly around the eyes and mouth (beard) these reddish/brown stains are not harmful but can be unsightly.

Food or Treats can also cause marking especially if they contain a lot of artificial colouring or potential irritants – these can cause the fur around the mouth to develop a brownish colouring.

Although rare some health issues can cause discolouration such as difficulties chewing food or excessive tear stain production and these should be looked at by your vet.

A lack of grooming routine can also cause staining but this can be easily addressed by introducing a more thorough and regular hygiene care practice.

And of course, make up, can cause transfer marking when we hug or kiss our precious pooches. Thankfully with regular grooming and the application of the Happy Tears Treatment you can minimise nearly all of these… so your pup will always be ready for the pawfect selfie!

As ever, if you have any questions about how to apply Happy Tears or other staining problems that your dog has, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’d be happy to help.
